This 1930s or earlier silvered blown glass Christmas ornament is a curved colored horn or saxophone complete with three flat buttons on the neck and a brass disc whistle insert in the bell. The finish is gold colored with a faint red over paint. It's about 5 inches long. 1-5/8" diameter at the bell opening. There is typical silvering loss at the upper pike and a round spot of silvering loss to the back of the horn, directly opposite the metal whistle insert - this was caused by air exposure. The metal cap is marked Czechoslovakia but it may have been added later. There are no chips or breaks.
