This handsome little hand forged copper syrup dispenser dates from the early to mid 1800s. It's unsigned but probably American made. The body is paneled, the lid is hinged. It measures 4-1/2 inches high to the lid finial, nearly 4 inches wide from handle to spout, and 2" diameter at the base.
The pitcher is heavy for its size and has an authentic patina. The only issue is that the handle has become detached from the body at the bottom. Please note that the closeup photo is greatly enlarged - the separation is barely noticeable when viewed normally.
