It looks like someone polished the bejabbers out of this vintage Craftsman Studios copper bowl, but it's still lacquered - apparently it's been wrapped virtually airtight and stored for the past 70-some years. The small hammered copper bowl is a lotus flower shape with 5-point crimped rim, 6 inches diameter by just under 2 inches high. The underside is marked with the classic hammer and anvil logo "Craftsman Co. 1504". In excellent condition with no dings or notable scratches.
I have more than 2 dozen pieces of Craftsman pieces in my personal collection and have sold dozens more. With the exception of the earliest ones, the various Craftsman marks mean almost nothing when trying to date one of their pieces. Apparently whatever die stamp happened to be handy at the time was used when marking a piece. I'm dating this bowl to the late 1940s to early 1950s, based on my decades-long collecting and research history.
