Rival produced many of their popular O-Mat kitchen products in a deluxe copper finish beginning in the late 1940s which were priced higher than the chrome and enamel finish models. This is the copper plated Grind-O-Mat meat grinder and food chopper.
It's about 8-1/4" high by 8 inches wide across the bottom, the handle of course adds to the overall size. I haven't polished it in years but I've kept it pretty clean with no dings or major scratches. The black paint of the wood handle has some wear. The last two pictures show two scuff type marks to the base, a result of vigorous cleaning. I think I wore the lacquer finish off in those areas - polishing would even up the color.
The grinder is of course fully functional, but it also makes a wonderful kitchen copper display item as well with it's sleek Industrial Age meets Mid Century Modern design.
