I've had this Sunbeam Ironmaster dry iron for many years and have never once seen another in copper, although Sunbeam did make other deluxe versions of appliances in copper. It's the model A-9, with the last patent number issued in 1943 (I'm pretty sure this model was made into the early 1950s). It has a black Bakelite handle and red Bakelite heat setting dial. It heats up super fast. The old red and gold Sunbeam decal below the handle has all but worn away, and some of the white lettering has worn away on the red dial. The cloth covered cord has a little fraying of the upper threads in two spots. Very rare with the copper base.
