This cool old glass and metal mixing or beater jar has a patent number that dates to 1932. The glass jar was made by Hazel Atlas, the slotted bottom steel or tin plunger and lid unit are marked "Mfg. By Wm. D. Gibson Chicago Ill.". The lid is embossed at the top "Home Drink Mixer" - others were made with the words Malted Milk Mixer. The glass jar is marked in one-ounce measurements up to 12 ounces and is 6-1/2" high by 3-1/8" diameter. Overall height with the lid in place is about 8-3/4 inches. There is some slight darkening to the top of the lid, the interior portion is very clean and still shiny. The glass jar is in perfect condition with no damage, scratches, or cloudiness.
