A pair of delightful red hard plastic figural diorama style Christmas candle holders from late 1930s Germany. In the center rings are hand painted thin hard plastic angels - one playing a lute, the other holding a gold ornament and a red candle. The candlesticks both have the exact same markings on the bottoms, but they're not identical. One is about 3-3/4" high with the angel wearing a long robe, red shoes, and different wings. The smaller angel is barefoot with a short dress and is a more flattened style. This candle holder is about a quarter of an inch smaller in width and height. The brass candle cups at the tops are the same size, about 5-/8" diameter (inside dimension) - they'll take the type of candles used in angel chimes. They are marked on the bottoms Made In Germany Reg. 50-55/56-67. One angel has a spot of paint wear near one eye, otherwise they're in good vintage condition with no damage.
