A single length of hand embroidered vintage white cotton pillowcase tubing to finish with crocheted or sewn-on lace edging. The tubing was sold stamped for embroidery in department and variety stores in the 1940s through 1960s. This one still has the original JC Penney price tag attached. The overall length is 62 inches. The buyer will need to cut the tubing in half and sew the non-embroidered ends closed to the length desired. Then, using the pre-made holes in the scalloped openings, add a crocheted lace edging. You can also attach ready made lace if preferred.

The tubing material is marked 100% cotton and is of a much better quality and weight than you can buy today. There are no stains or tears, but it's at least 50 years old, so you'll want to launder of course. The embroidered design features a spray of ten pink flowers with black and yellow centers over a pair of geometric blue windowpane or shadow box shapes. The embroidery work is complete and in great condition with no pulls or loose stitching.
