A scarce complete set of five nested stoneware mixing bowls in Marcrest's Brown Daisy or Daisy Dot pattern. The pattern is a homey rustic design with alternating scallops, lines, and five-petal daisies, made by Western Stoneware in the 1950s as a grocery store premium line. Sizes:
9 inches diameter by 4-3/4" deep 8" by 4-1/4" 7-1/4" by 3-3/4" 6-1/4" by 3-1/2" 5" by 3"
Expect the usual tiny glaze misses and minor manufacturing flaws common to Marcrest pottery. The bowls have light glaze wear and stir marks in the bottoms. The next-to-smallest 6-1/4 inch bowl has two short, very tight stress cracks on the rim, each less than an inch long and hard to spot. No cracks or chips to any of the other bowls.
