This vintage machine pieced quilt was made from strips of salvaged denim jeans, blue cotton chambray shirting, red and blue bandana print cotton, and two different red, blue, and white cotton print fabrics with stars. At the center is a printed cotton fabric panel depicting a horse and colt with a barn in the background. At the lower left center is a denim patch pocket with a machine embroidered horse. The quilt stitches are done in horseshoe and star motifs. Actual measurements are 52-1/2 by 54-1/2 inches. The quilt is clean with no stains or tears but it does show a little minor fading from regular laundering and use.
